Compact and well located, this small, traditional house is within easy reach of Kardamyli and Kalamata and now ready for renovation. It would be ideal as a “lock up and leave” holiday home or as a compact and airy space for permanent occupation. The village is on the bus route. Prosilio, meaning “towards the sun”, is an old village and the house would suit those who want to be part of a traditional way of living in Greece.
Prosilio has a system for disposing of “grey water” but a “soak-away” is required.
The house has a small balcony, approached by steps to one of the doors. There are sea and mountain views.
The roof needs replacing, but the property is solidly built giving the opportunity for building upwards and perhaps incorporating an excellent outside veranda or new rooms.
The house can be approached from 2 directions: enter Prosilio village square, turn left and continue past the school and the priest’s house. On the left there is parking, walk up the lane and after a few metres branch slightly right, the house is a short distance along on the right. Access is also available by driving a further short distance and turning left to access parking above the property.
The house has electricity and water with its own meters. There are no outstanding bills.
The taxes have been paid up to date.
Inside on the main floor the area has been divided into 2 by a traditional wooden divider with 2 “French doors”. One half has a wooden floor, the other a solid floor. The windows have metal frames and are in good condition. Both rooms provide a “blank canvas” for innovative design.
Underneath the front end of the house is another room with its own access; internal access being easily established.
The exterior paintwork, as shown in the photograph has faded slightly and is bluish, not green as shown on the photograph.
